Charade

Synopsis

A young American in Paris (Audrey Hepburn) flees a trio of crooks who are trying to recover the fortune stolen from them by her late husband. The only person she can trust is a suave stranger (Cary Grant). A deliciously dark comedy thriller, Stanley Donen's Charade dazzles with style and macabre wit to spare. Avenue One is proud to present this gorgeously set 60's suspense classic.

By DVD standards the image quality on Charade is very poor -- you have been warned.

Great old movie! Nice ending! Audrey Hepburn and Carey Grant are a cannot fail mixture!I It does seem quite a mystery and has its exciting and gruesome moments as well as the good twist at the end.

This is one of the classics, even though Grant's best thrillers were with Hitchcock, he does a great job here. Where is the money? It's the question all the characters are asking. They all think Audrey Hepburn has it, but she claims to know nothing! This film moves at a good pace, with nothing being revealed too quickly. Can you work out who is who and what they are all looking for?

This is wonderful to see great screen idols from a bygone era in movie histoy. Audrey Hepburn is divine, gorgeous clothing, set in Paris, mmmmm. Cary Grant older and still debonair, Walter Mattheiu, James Coburn. All gorgeous. We know it will all turn out alright but the twists and turns are fun. Great old theme tunes from Henry Mancini. Have a hot chocolate and enjoy.
