Definitely not my type of movie. Watchable, and Nicholas Cage is fabulous as usual, but too weird for my liking and too spooky. I really wouldn't recommend it.

I haven't seen a Nicholas Cage movie I haven't liked. It was interesting to see how each generation of children had a knowing based on contact from the alien beings. The adults' "common sense" fears became apparent and the children in their child-like trust, followed their inner guidance. But were the aliens contacting them for benevolent or malevolent reasons?

Quite a good "end of the world" movie which keeps the suspense going throughout. Original storyline and reasonable acting although the parts don't call for great talent. Good special effects. Ending a bit hard to accept, did the aliens really believe the two kids could survive on a new planet with a couple of rabbits? Obviously the rabbits would breed faster than the kids, so then they could make another disaster movie. Good fun though, hire it and don't think.

Loved this movie. Would recommend to anyone, story was great and cast was fantastic. If I knew it was this good I would have gone to the movies and saw it on the Big Screen. Thanks to Plasma and Surround Sound it made this movie exceptional!

A big budget blockbuster film, but man what a load of barnicles. To me it seemed like about two thirds into it the writers lost the plot. At first it comes across as a great thriller even a bit on the scary side but after a while it just becomes laughable. I have to say though it has got some amazing scenes in it, worth looking at. I can't believe how much money film studios can throw at something and it still comes out lame.

If they knew anything about the rapture and end times then they would know how badly made this film is. The producers should have read the Book of Revelations and John and actually the whole bible points to this time coming. And for those that want to be saved... People have to acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God and that he died on the cross for our sins and we are to acknowledge that everyone/we is/are a sinner/s and confess this/these to God - which they clearly did not do at the end of the film or even acknowledge God in anyway - what can the angels do for us??
