Intrigued by the enigmatic couple and the dark and mysterious surroundings, Caroline begins to explore the old mansion. Armed with a skeleton key that unlocks every door, she discovers a hidden attic room that holds a deadly and terrifying secret. Caroline soon discovers that the mansion is haunted by a pair of century old spirits. The spirits are evil and are manipulating the living to fit their desires, and Caroline herself is at the centre of one of their sinister schemes.

Oh wow. This is excellent. Great storyline. You don't realise until the very end how everything ties in together. I'm not normally too frightened by horror/thrillers but half way through this I was on my partners knee terrified. Kate Hudson is outstanding.
This was a very good movie, I really enjoyed watching it - full of horror and action. Very good overall.
Great suspense thriller. It wasn't a typical scary movie as it had a great storyline with a lot of twists and turns. Overall it was a really enjoyable movie.

John Hurt is interesting. Kate Hudson is ordinary in the way that given the part, she is neither bad for it nor particularly striking either. Gena Rowlands is sinister. Peter Sarsgaard is clever and elements of Iain Softley's direction are interesting. This is a lot of fun.
I really enjoyed this movie. It was a little werid at the end but it had lots of twists and turns and I guess I too would be screaming I don't believe, I dont believe as well.
This movie had a fresh approach to horror, though it was predictable it was most interesting
