A good horror.. worth seeing just for Paris's lingerie clad bolt through the woods.. in true americana dumb girl tradition. Always a fan of horror, this one doesn't disappoint... sure to be a cult fave in years to come.

Remakes are always tricky things but this 2005 supposed remake of the 1953 classic differs so much from the original that one must see its title as nothing more than a cynical attempt to get viewers of the original to watch a film of the same name. Most negative criticism of modern Hollywood horror films must take the pathetic Blair Witch Project as its guide. Uneven, childish, amateurish and annoying, the Blair Witch Project is a guide for young filmmakers on how NOT to make film. Sadly, House of Wax in 2005 seems to be a competitor in this genre. In a word, the movie stinks. There are extras on this DVD (though why would you bother?). There is a particularly revealing "extra"commentary by four of the cast members who seem to be SO in love with the connectives "so" and "like" that it makes one wonder how they ever learned lines of over one syllable! This movie is trash of the most fundamental kind. It only deserves ANY rating because the cinematographer actually cared enough about the idiots who appear in this film and the banal plot and execution, to give it a serious treatment!

Not scary. Bad special effects. Move on. I was not expected much from a movie featuring Paris Hilton. She was not so bad. The story is anyway quite unrealistic and at the end we want them all to past away just to see THE END appearing on the screen.

Not a bad movie the biggest problem was having Paris Hilton in it. Her acting ability is mediocre and its always a pleasure to see her killed off. Preferably at the beginning

A great horror film that has originality. Something that is hard to come by in the land of films, these days. The effects are brilliant. A Bit slow to start with but it eventually heats up and has a slight twist at the end. Could have been better if Paris Hilton was killed off alot earlier but we cant have everything.

Too over-the-top silly for my liking, but others may enjoy. Still worth watching if there is nothing else on though.
