Don't believe the hype. Overly sentimental. If there was a volume 3 I wouldn't bother watching it.

Fantastic! Find out why The Bride wants to kill Bill. I would highly reommend watching this one back-to-back with Kill Bill 1.

I have to say Kill Bill was better, though I enjoyed II it seemed too elongated establishing the characters instead of it's trademark sadistic action. I do like character based movies but that's not why I watched Kill Bill II...otherwise I would have rented something more profound expecting less action and more depth. Bring back the 88's. Despite that QT is a genius.

As poor as the first Kill Bill was, this second Kill Bill is correspondingly superb. So much about this film is fine that it is difficult to know where to begin in its praise. Perhaps Michael Madsen's wonderful appearance as Bill's brother, Budd could first be commented on. His performance is as rich and riveting as was his performance in Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs. Daryl Hannah is also superb and wickedly villainous. Gordon Liu who was a one-dimensional villain in the first Kill Bill is allowed to be a stereotypical kung fu master in this film but he does it with aplomb. Larry Bishop (a director and son of comedian Joey Bishop), does a brief but notable performance as Larry Gomez, Perla Haney-Jardine is great as Uma Thurman's daughter and in her first role and finally Uma herself is wonderful as Beatrix Kiddo AKA The Bride AKA Black Mamba. There are bonus features on the DVD and a number of actors give insights into their performances. Unconvincing though is Tarantino's rationalisation of the first Kill Bill film as an introduction to all of the characters. This rationalisation may be acceptable for a sitcom or TV series but a film is released and stands on its own merits, or, like the first Kill Bill, fails on its weaknesses. David Carradine reveals the truism that having a great character actor for a father and a hit 70's TV series to your credit doesn't guarantee that you won't make boneheaded statements as when he favourably compares Tarentino's quite good dialogue to the genius of Shakespeare.

i didnt even watch this movie because I was not happy with Kill Bill 1. So it was not any good watching this one if I didnt like the first valume.

Great cast and script. Excellent performances, and great directing. Worth watching.
