This is one of those 'classic' films, this one being the one that 'made' Bogart and Bergman into big stars. Still, I thought it was not the best I've seen of Bogart, he made many films much better than this. The plot is rather simplistic, mostly done on a sound stage, with a couple of outdoor shots. Still, it is one of those films you should see, at least once!

It still works as a Classic film with all the elements of tension, romance, and historic world view, which transport one to another time real or imaginary. It's an entertaining exciting story. I just love the style.

This is an old b/w movie set around the time of the second W/W. Somehow I'd never seen it, but now having done so I'm glad I rented it.

After many years this is still well worth watching ; "here's looking at you, kid!"

A sentimental and, perhaps by today's standards, somewhat corny story. However, it's a feel-good classic and an enjoyable DVD.

Humphrey Bogart would have to be one of the greatest actors of all time, Casablanca is certainly one of his best performances
